2. Critical Address Restrictions & LTL Protocol
- P.O. Boxes & APO/FPO Addresses: Due to carrier dimension limits on automotive structural parts, we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, APO, FPO, or DPO addresses. A valid physical street address is mandatory at checkout.
- LTL Freight & Delivery Appointments: For oversized shipments (shipped via truck freight), the carrier will contact you via the phone number provided at checkout to schedule a delivery window. Note: Liftgate services required for residential deliveries may incur additional fees ($75–$150 per stop), payable at checkout or upon carrier invoice.
- Order Interceptions: Address updates or cancellations are only guaranteed if requested within 2 hours of payment, prior to warehouse scan. Once transmitted to our fulfillment queue, changes cannot be guaranteed. Double-check your shipping address and vehicle compatibility prior to submitting payment.
- AK / HI / PR: Transit times extend by 3–5 business days. Freight surcharges apply. Contact support for exact quotes.
3. Inspection & Cargo Damage Claims
Merton Auto Parts utilizes industrial-grade, reinforced packaging to mitigate transit damage. However, auto body parts and lighting elements remain inherently fragile during heavy transit.
⚠️ Mandatory "Inspect Before Signing" Protocol:
- Freight Deliveries: You MUST inspect the outer carton and inner contents for structural defects before signing the carrier's Delivery Receipt (BOL). If severe damage is found, refuse the shipment and contact us immediately.
- Standard Parcels: Report any concealed transit damage with clear, high-resolution photos of both the shipping label, packaging boxes, and the damaged component to mertonusa@outlook.com within 24 hours of delivery. Please include your Order ID in the email subject line.
